Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, California has been serving its local community for 80 years. Times have changed, and Hillsdale seeks to stay relevant with how its visitors shop, live, work, and entertain now, and in the future. The Idea Store is a storefront space for the community and ownership to interact, exchange ideas, and work together to ensure that Hillsdale has a viable future. Through interpretation and interactive experiences, the Idea Store invites participants to re:imagine Hillsdale.
